The Production Equipment Rental Association (PERA) has merged with the Entertainment Services and Technology Association. The PERA Council within ESTA serves the needs of the equipment rental market for motion picture, television and commercial production. The Council continues the work of PERA for camera, accessories, grip and lighting rental companies and manufacturers. Members of the Council are elected by the PERA Council Affiliates and are responsible for the development and implementation of programs and services for members in these market segments. The PERA Board of Directors at the time of the merger serves as the current PERA Council.

The PERA Council will continue popular programs such as the credit watch and missing equipment list and Member benefits have been greatly enhanced.

The PERA Council will be the collective voice for the production equipment rental industry. By joining ESTA, the Council has established a new level of service for members, bringing greater value to membership and stronger credibility within the industry.

All current members of PERA have had their membership transferred to ESTA pending receipt of their transfer authorization form and are listed as Affiliates of the PERA Council. Non-members or former members of PERA are welcome to apply for membership in ESTA under the appropriate ESTA membership category. Any current member of ESTA who serves the motion picture, television, and commercial production markets may elect to become an Affiliate of the PERA Council by contacting Ryan Swearingen at .
